I have worked on many vendor and custom-designed projects, taking customer requirements, and finding either existing vendor software that meets the required needs, or building a solution with the existing software solutions we have, typically using Microsoft Power Platform products.
With vendor solutions, I work with the user or department to determine the best vendor for their needs, by evaluating their needs and comparing various vendors. Then I work with the vendor and our security team to review the vendor solution ensuring it meets all company standards and best practices. I will then ensure the successful implementation of the solution by working closely with the vendor and the department to validate the solution works as intended.
For custom internal solutions I will determine the user or department’s needs and determine what current software will work best for their needs. I will then create a proof of concept to demonstrate the potential solution to the customer and get their feedback on the concept. After the feedback, if the user liked the panned solution, I would continue to build out the solution, checking in with the customer for feedback and updates until the solution is completed. If the user does not like the planned solution, I will reevaluate their needs and offer alternatives until we find a solution that will work for them.
